How much do you charge to build a website?
The cost of a website design depends on the specific requirements of each project. Because every website is unique and requires different components, we design and develop custom websites tailored specifically for your business. To provide a proper quote, we’ll ask questions and assess your needs. Our smallest package starts at $2000 + pages. How long will it take to complete my website?
The timeline for completing a website typically ranges from 3-6 weeks, but this can vary based on the specifics of the project. The size and pace of the project are determined by the client, and factors such as input during the initial stages, feedback, and the speed at which content is provided can affect the timeline. The functionality and revisions required will also impact the completion date.
Do I have to be in Red Deer for you to work with me?
No not at all. We work with clients from next door to international clients and can communicate by email, scheduled phone calls, and Zoom meetings.
Will I be able to update the website myself when it is finished?
Absolutely! We encourage our clients to take control of their website and learn how to manage the content on their own. Once your website is migrated to WordPress, you’ll have full access to the backend to make simple updates like; changing text, photographs, and products & pricing. For more complex changes and maintenance tasks like updating plugins, modifying the design or structure, and implementing complex functionality requirements, we recommend consulting a professional website developer. If you’d like to learn how to navigate the backend and make minor updates independently, we offer hourly tutorials at $100 per hour + GST.
What is the difference in your various website packages?
Will Summit Web Creations maintain our website for us?
You have the freedom to choose whether you want us to maintain your website or you want to handle minor changes yourself. It’s completely up to you. While we offer ongoing support to many of our clients, this is not mandatory and you won’t be charged a monthly fee. When you need updates to your website, simply contact us and we’ll provide an hourly quote based on your requests.
Do you provide website hosting and domain services?
Yes, we can provide website hosting and domain services on your behalf. We will set your site up on it’s own account. This will ensure that you will have full access to your website upon migration. As a customer relationship first business, we manage these accounts for you, and if for any reason you aren’t completely satisfied, you have the login credentials to take control at anytime.
We can also recommend hosting packages to you from (SiteGround, Godaddy and Bluehost) and we will complete the migration to your hosting for those who prefer to have total control of their website.
Will my website be mobile friendly?
Absolutely! With todays handheld devices, a mobile-friendly website is more important than ever! We work hard to optimize your website to be responsive on modern mobile devices and browsers.
How much input do I have in the website design process?
Your input and feedback are extremely important throughout the website design and development process. We’ll start by asking a lot of questions about your needs, preferences, and vision for the website. We’ll work with you to develop a website that has the perfect look and functionality. Before beginning the project, we’ll ask you to provide sample websites for reference. Keep in mind that this is your website, and we need your help and direction to achieve your final vision. When you hire us, we become a team and look forward to collaborating with you.
Who writes the text and content for my website?
It’s important, and we require that you provide all of the text content for your website. As the expert on your business, it’s best if the content comes from you. If you need assistance, we have a copywriter in our network who can help clean up or write original content for a fee of $120 per hour.
Do you only create WordPress websites?
Yes, WordPress is the leading content management system that powers more than 42% of websites worldwide. Its dominant market share is due to its flexibility and ease of use. Whether you need a minimal, informational website with a concise template or a more custom website with specific functionality to reach your objectives, we’ve worked on all types of websites and with many industries using WordPress. We have nerds that could build websites from the ground up in pure code to customize anything you require.
What if I need help on my website down the road?

Is SEO included in my website?
The construction of your website does not include monthly SEO. While Google can see the text, photos, and video we add to your website, that doesn’t guarantee a #1 ranking. But we do offer excellent monthly SEO services with our team of specialists who are ready to support your SEO needs!
